Cost allocation in a bank ATM network
We consider a situation in which a group of banks consider connecting their Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in a network, so that the banks’ customers may use ATMs of any bank in the network. The problem studied is that of allocating the total transaction costs arising in the network, among the participating banks. The situation is modeled as a cooperative game with transferable utility. We pr...
متن کاملAllocation efficiency in network DEA
The present study is an attempt towards remodeling cost, revenue and profit relationship within the network process. The previous models of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) have been too general in their scope and focused on the input and the output within a black box system, therefore they have not been able to measure various phases simultaneously within a network system. By using these mod...
متن کاملBandwidth Allocation Problem in ATM
We show that the Bandwidth Allocation problem in the ATM network model is NP-Complete. Based on that inference we suggest using the Genetic Algorithm technique to select a subset of calls from the set of incoming call requests for transmission, so that the available network bandwidth is utilized eeectively, thus maximizing the revenue generated while preserving the promised QoS.
متن کاملModeling a Bank ATM with Two Directions Places Timed Petri Net (TPN)
A Bank ATM is including controller, card authorization system and a teller unit .This paper explains howthis parts connects together. In this paper will be used of a new mode place in Petri nets. More systemsusually have a complex constructs. ATM will be simulated use of new mode place at this study. The Mainpart of this model is used of T.S.Staines model [1]. We discuss how a simple model of T...
